On the 24th May 2012 the Sisters of St Paul de Chartres celebrated the 20 year Anniversary of St Paul de Chartres Residential Aged Care along with, residents, staff, friends and families.celebrations included a morning Mass; Axillary Bishop, Most Rev Joseph Oudeman OFM Cap DD was the principal celebrant. Concelebrated with him was Fr. Albert Chan, MSC and Fr. Peter Kung, assistant priest of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. The Mass also included the blessing of the newly built Novitiate.

After Mass everyone was invited to the community centre hall for a beautifully prepared lunch (thanks given to our kitchen staff), over 100 guests gathered to help celebrate with the Sisters this wonderful milestone. Sisters of St Paul de Chartres from Sydney, Melbourne America and France also attended the celebrations.

During the celebrations Sr. Teresa presented staff recognition awards to staff that have been with St Paul de Chartres for 5, 10 and 20 years giving special mention to receptionist Noeleen who has been working at St Paul de Chartres for 20 years this year. The staff also presented the Sisters of St Paul de Chartres a 20 year plaque congratulated them on their achievements.

This was followed by a photo story presented on the movie screen of the past 20 years highlighting the Sisters dream to provide a place of peace, love and joy coming to fruition. It showed the Sisters arriving in Australia and purchasing the land to build the aged care facility, and in following year’s construction of the retirement units, nursing home and their latest addition of beautiful new 2 & 3 bedroom retirement units.

A truly wonderful day was had by all and we congratulate the Sisters for their dedication and perseverance over the years to make St Paul de Chartres what it is today.
